Our Mission
The Rotary Foundation helps Rotarians advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, protecting the environment, and alleviating poverty.
Ways to Give
Members and clubs in District 6920 have several easy ways to support The Rotary Foundation:
- Online Giving – Make a secure gift anytime at rotary.org/donate.
- Rotary Direct – Set up recurring giving (monthly, quarterly, or annually) to ensure steady support for Foundation programs at rotary.org/donate
- Through Your Club – Many Rotarians give as part of their club’s collective contributions. Ask your Club President or Club Foundation Chair for details.
Types of Gifts Accepted
The Rotary Foundation accepts:
- Cash, checks, and credit card contributions
- Securities/Stock transfers
- Endowment gifts and planned giving
Every contribution—large or small—helps power life-changing projects around the world and right here in our district.
Recognition
Rotary recognizes and celebrates generosity through several giving societies and honors. Each represents a meaningful commitment to The Rotary Foundation’s mission.
- PolioPlus Society
In District 6920, members pledge to contribute $100 or more each year to PolioPlus until polio is eradicated and complete a PolioPlus Society commitment form annually. - Paul Harris Fellow
Awarded to individuals whose cumulative gifts total $1,000 or more to the Annual Fund, PolioPlus, or an approved grant. - Paul Harris Society
Members pledge to give at least $1,000 annually to The Rotary Foundation. - Multiple Paul Harris Fellow & Major Donor
- Multiple Paul Harris Fellow: Recognition for continued giving beyond the first Paul Harris Fellow level.
- Major Donor: Recognition for individuals whose cumulative giving reaches $10,000 or more and who complete a Major Donor recognition form.
- Other Recognition Opportunities
Rotarians may also be honored through the Arch Klumph Society, Bequest Society, and Legacy Giving pathways, which celebrate transformational gifts and long-term commitments to the Foundation.

Our District team is here to help your club succeed with The Rotary Foundation. Each leader focuses on a specific area of giving, grants, or recognition, and together they ensure that District 6920 Rotarians have the resources and guidance needed to make an impact.
- Endowment/Major Gifts Advisor – Herschel Scott
Supports Rotarians interested in legacy giving and major donor opportunities. - PolioPlus Society Chair – Whitney Shephard
Leads efforts to expand membership in the PolioPlus Society and promote Rotary’s work to end polio. In our District, a commitment of $100 a year to Polio Plus until polio is eradicated. - Paul Harris Society Chair – Bill Booth
Guides Rotarians in becoming Paul Harris Society members through sustained giving of $1,000 per year. - District Grants Chair – Caroline Edenfield
Oversees the District Grant process, including club training, applications, and compliance. - Global Grants Chair – PDG Hamsa Thota
Advises clubs on Global Grant projects, ensuring alignment with Rotary’s areas of focus and sustainability.
