The Millen Rotary Club had a meaningful month filled with recognition and inspiration during its recent meetings.
At the July 30th meeting, Past Secretary/Treasurer Wanda Burke was honored for her many years of dedicated service to the club. Burke faithfully served from June 2012 through July 2025, carrying out one of the most challenging roles in Rotary with commitment and care. Rotarian Randy Hill presented her with a plaque of appreciation, commending her steadfast dedication to the club. Joining in the recognition were Treasurer Mandy Underwood, Burke, and Hill.

The August 6th meeting brought a powerful reminder of Rotary’s spirit of service above self. Terry Reynolds, representing the Wounded Warrior Retreat, shared a heartfelt message: “When a brother or sister is in need, we need to be there to provide help.” Reynolds presented a video highlighting the mission and services of the organization, which has supported veterans since its founding in 2010 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. He was joined by wounded warrior Jason Letterman, who assisted with the presentation.
Through recognition of dedicated members and support of impactful community organizations, the Millen Rotary Club continues to embody the values of Rotary in action.
