Georgia Opioid Crisis Abatement Trust Grants
Thank you for your interest in the Opioid Crisis Abatement Grants.
Below is more specific information about the Opioid Grant process.
Please put your project together with details as explained below and email to Joy.
Remember, your club cannot donate these funds to another organization. You must make purchases and show Rotarian participation.
Our District is being awarded a Block Grant to be used by Rotary Clubs within our District.
A Rotary Club may apply for a subgrant of FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS ($5,000.00) for Projects.
If, after the initial round of applications, Trust Funds remain to be allocated, then the District will accept applications for a second round of grants from its member Clubs. In this second round of grant applications, the District may award more than $5,000 per Project and individual Clubs may be awarded more than two (2) Projects over the two rounds of grants.
All Projects will be completed by March 31st, 2026.
You are welcome to submit your pre-application (proposed project) at any time to me with
-
- a complete and detailed budget of your entire project, and what you propose to purchase with the $5,000,
- a timeline of expected dates and locations of each part of your plan
- a description of your club’s role and the role of any project partner, and
- how you will show that the monies for this project were provided by the Georgia Opioid Crisis Abatement Trust
Their logo is at the top of the page for your convenience.
We will circle back to get an MOU later.
Below is a link to the 5 pre-approved project descriptions as provided by the Opioid Abatement Trust for District 6920 Rotary Clubs.
District Governor Terry Adkins would like our District to focus on youth, so those applications may rise to the top, but all ideas are welcome!
I’m thrilled to be partnering with you and your Rotary Club.
Thanks for all you do for Rotary!
